Ships is played on a board consisting of 10x10 squares. At the start of the game, both players place 6 ships that occupy multiple squares (horizontally or vertically). Their positions are not visible to the opponent. The goal of Ships is to be the first to sink all opponent's ships.
Taking turns, the players bomb one or more squares on the opponent's board. In order to do so, they can use special bombs that bomb a horizontal row, a vertical row or a cluster. Each of them can be used once, after which players can only bomb 1 square per turn.
The game ends when a player has bombed all opponent's ships. This player wins the game.
